Awareness Through Law
The Institute has a well-maintained cafeteria, so as to provide an enjoyable lunch time and a place to socialize. In the Institute’s Cafeteria, the students feel safe, welcome, and valued. They have choices in the meals. They are allowed to talk during the lunch and are not pressured to eat. The environment of the cafeteria is pleasant so that a student may eat adequately, do better in academic work and have a fewer behavioural problem. The Institute provides enough time to students to eat (25 minutes of seat time).

The Institute has arranged for female students, a common room with good seating arrangement. It is situated next to the staff room so as to maintain the safety of girl students. It is a spacious room and comprises of a cot and bed for the girls to rest in case of an emergency. Similarly, the Institute also has a separate Common Room for boys. The Institute duly acknowledges the need of privacy for students therefore, this facility has been made available for them where they can sit, rest and even go for recreation .
The Institute runs buses for the students and staff alike to make it easier to reach college. The buses run within a radius of 25 kms in Haryana. The buses reach college exactly at 9:30 am and take up their return journey at 3:30 pm.
The Institute provides ample parking space for staff members, students and visitors within the college campus near the college main gate. It is guarded round the clock by the security staff.
The Institute is located at lush green pollution free zone at Faridabad, surrounded by multifarious education houses. The Institute is housed in a newly constructed multi-storey, ultramodern building in lush green spacious campus spread over 5 acres of land with all modern amenities. The institute presently has 24 class rooms, Library, Computer Centre, Principal & Administrative Office, Faculty rooms, Audio-visual room and common rooms separately for boys and girls, Moot court room and a big conference Hall etc. The generator set has been installed as an alternate source of electrical power. All other amenities including water cooler equipped with R.O to make congenial atmosphere for study are provided.
The Library is an integral part of academic endeavor in the Law institute and is being constantly enriched by the acquisition of the latest books and journals and keeping in view with the changing times to further advancements of the Institute, academic activities and hopes in future fordigital library for national and international challange.
The library is the heart of any academic Institution and plays an Important role in all academic activities and make easy access to the library resources .The library of the ILR is considered as a laboratory, where the apparatus for the law students are the classic law is available viz. newspaper, books, case law reports, magazine report and journals that are available in full sets. The students would perform legal research like experiments to augment their studies by using these equipments in becoming the premier centre for legal education and research in 21st century.
The Institute has fully-equipped and air Conditioned computer Lab to cater the computing needs of all students and training requirements of several basic computer-literacy course. The Lab is fully equipped with 40 number of Hi-Tech Pentium computers with internet facilities. All the landmark Judgments of Hon'ble Supreme Court of India and High Courts of various states have been computerized for quick reference for the students & faculty. All the legal databases are made available to the students of ILR through CD-ROM and subscription to web based database like Manupatra and Westlaw International.
The Moot court Hall is like a practical room for a student to get accustomed to the atmosphere of the Courts as well as improve his skills in law. Moot Court Room is a simulation exercise. In a moot court, a real life hypothetical problem (case) is given to the student-advocates and they are given a few days time to prepare a case for their client. Thereafter, they argue the case in front of professor-judges, senior student-judges or legal professional-judges in real life courtroom settings in lawyers' garb.
The objective behind the moot court is to inculcate court culture and courtroom etiquette among law students and make them conversant with the art of pleading.
The Institute has constituted Legal Aid Clinic in order to fulfill the demand of society and to help the poor and weaker sections of the society. Legal Aid Clinic helps those persons, who are unable to approach the courts. They are guided by experts and trained persons. The participation & cooperation of Haryana State Legal Services Authority is very important for the awareness of the rights of citizens and the participation of students along with Legal expert persons, get practical exposure and develop Legal skills. Every year in the month of November the Institute organizes Legal Aid awareness program with collaboration of Haryana State Legal Aid Services, Authority and District Legal Aid Society .The Institute organizes symposium, workshop and seminars under the aegis of Legal Aid Society. It also trained the Para Legal volunteers among the students.
The Institute emphasizes on overall personality development of the students by participating in extra- curricular activities. The students are encouraged to participate in debates, declamations, dramas, literary and cultural activities, quiz competitions and moot court competitions. The Institute encourages students to organize and to participate in various events and activities organized from time to time. For inter-section competitions, the institute has formulated the following houses in each section:
It is an honour for me to become a part of this prestigious educational institution called “Institute of Law and Research.” An institution with an optimistic approach towards the overall development of an individual. The entire campus and faculty not only create a comfortable and friendly environment for students but also help in understanding the subjects quite interestingly which helps in the enhancement of skills and abilities. My good wishes are always with the ILR team.
I got so much exposure during the entire five year course. The teachers are very friendly and always motivate their students when they get disheartened. Here, the environment is so peaceful. This is a place where you grow as a person and learn many things.
My experience at the Institute has been evolving and engaging. The faculty nurtured and instilled a zeal in me to learn new concepts of law and legal theory. The faculty had always pushed for group discussions which had been helpful throughout the entire course. The campus environment was healthy and we had good academic discussions all along. This inspired me to participate is moot court competitions as well.
I can positively say that the Institute of law and Research, has made me a better person. I had spent a great time here. They have a wonderful and well experienced faculty and they are very co-operative, friendly and helpful. Their way of explain things is very simple so that it is easy for the students to catch the topic in a very short time and remember it forever. Furthermore the campus environment is very positive. I am really grateful to the Institute and faculty for enhancing my knowledge, skills and abilities. I.L.R is the best law college in Delhi/NCR.

I had a wonderful experience at the Institute. All the faculty members as well as the management were very supportive and strengthened and motivated me to achieve my aim. I feel scarcity of words to describe my feelings in praise of my alma mater. The Institute of Law and Research provided me a smooth and memorable platform to pursue LL.B. the teachers also gave me valuable insight into the basics of legal field for which I shall remain indebted to them for life. The time that I have spent in the Institute of Law and Research has been the golden period of my life. The teachers here are competent enough that their students require no coaching of any kind after the college years. They are morally strong and knowledgeable. I had an outstanding experience at the Institute of Law and Research. The teachers are very helpful and hardworking and would take classes even if only one student is present. The teachers also engage students in discussions on current legal topics which facilitate the development of mental faculties.
